Big News: Newark Airport Scores Exclusive New Centurion Lounge

American Express is set to open a new Centurion Lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey in 2026.

This lounge will mark the third Centurion Lounge in the New York area, ensuring that all three major airports serving New York City have their own Centurion Lounge.

The Newark Centurion Lounge will claim the title of the largest within the Centurion network, boasting an expansive 17,000 square feet of space.

Unique features of this lounge will include a jazz bar and piano lounge, a 1,400-square-foot indoor terrace offering stunning views of the Manhattan skyline, and an intriguing "archival collection" featuring artifacts and antiques celebrating New Jersey's history.

The lounge will offer familiar Centurion amenities, including shower suites, a family-friendly area, and a dining space featuring local cuisine and crafted cocktails.

Travelers can find this exceptional lounge in Newark's new Terminal A building, marking a milestone as the inaugural proprietary lounge initiated by a credit card company within the new facility.

The Centurion Lounge is exclusively available to cardholders of select American Express cards, including Platinum, Business Platinum, Corporate Platinum, Delta SkyMiles Reserve, Delta SkyMiles Reserve Business, and Centurion.
